“The DPRK is about 10,400km far away from New York. But this is just not a long distance for its strike today,” an opinion piece in the state-run Rodong Sinmun stated on Monday.
The article, titled ‘US hostile policy is bound to go bankrupt’, goes on to state that “the US is feeling uneasy as this might be proven in practice.”
“This is because its hostile policy will end in futile when the DPRK conducts the test-fire of an ICBM capable of precisely striking any place on the US mainland.”
The article also addresses a January tweet by US President Donald Trump, in which he acknowledged Pyongyang’s announcement that it was in the “final stages” of developing a nuclear weapon striking parts of the US, but said that such a strike “won’t happen.”

N. Korea doesn’t have to hit Broadway, Times Square, or Central Park . . . . .just hit Indian Point Nuclear plant, and watch 55 million people scramble. . . . .never be a living soul, living there again for eternity.
Obviously, they just want a deterrent — they’ve seen what happens to countries that can’t defend themselves (Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria), and they think they’re in a better position if they can say “If you invade, we’ll nuke one of your cities”.
And they probably are.
USA get it’s fix by bombing other weaker nations. It’s so much fun for them. Only when someone retaliates and bombs begin to drop on american soil will the fun really begins.
It is the enemies of the US who enjoy bombing weaker nations. The US liberates the weak and protects them against the strong.
