San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has a bone to select with President Donald Trump’s mindset towards sports and politics.
An outspoken critic of Trump , the five-time NBA champ coach laid into the president throughout an interview on Monday, critiquing his “childishness” and “unjustified fear-mongering.” This followed a weekend where Trump unwelcome the NBA champ Golden State Warriors from the White House and raved versus NFL gamers objecting authorities violence.
” Our nation is a humiliation to the world,” Popovich included , referencing Trump’s shenanigans throughout his very first months in workplace.
Popovich didn’t stop there.
He brought the discussion back around to the genuine subject at hand: race and bigotry in America.
” Obviously, race is the elephant in the space, and all of us comprehend that,” he stated, shaking off the concept that if we just stop speaking about bigotry that it’ll in some way simply disappear.
